1 Product Overview
Chlor-alkali process caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) is one of the three flagship products of modern chlor-alkali industrial technology, widely known as the essential basic chemical raw material for global manufacturing. Produced by electrolyzing refined saturated brine through ion-exchange membrane process, it completely abandons traditional high-pollution mercury and diaphragm processes. The finished caustic soda features low impurity content, stable concentration and strong chemical activity, with multiple adjustable specifications to meet diverse industrial demands. It is extensively applied in industrial alkalization, neutralization reaction, raw material refining and wastewater pH regulation. All products are produced in fully automated closed workshops, complying with international industrial chemical standards and supporting long-term stable bulk export and industrial supply.
2 Technical Principle
The production adopts mature ion-exchange membrane chlor-alkali electrolysis technology. Raw brine undergoes multi-stage precipitation, filtration and fine purification to remove calcium, magnesium and particulate impurities, forming qualified saturated refined brine. The purified brine is transported into a sealed full-fluorine ion membrane electrolyzer. Under stable DC constant-current electrolysis, directional redox reactions occur. Sodium ions penetrate the selective permeable ion membrane and react with water at the cathode to generate high-purity sodium hydroxide solution and hydrogen gas. The ion membrane effectively isolates anode and cathode substances to avoid cross-contamination. Finally, the crude lye is processed through evaporation, concentration and precise filtration to obtain standardized industrial caustic soda with stable components.
