1. What is the difference between SAE1006 and SAE1008?
SAE1006 has a lower carbon content (max 0.08%) compared to SAE1008 (max 0.10%), making SAE1006 softer and more formable. Both are suitable for pipe manufacturing, but SAE1008 offers slightly higher strength.
2. Can I get coils with pickled and oiled surface?
Yes, we offer pickled and oiled (P&O) surface treatment to remove scale and prevent rust. Dry surface is also available upon request.
3. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ is 25 tons per grade and size. Smaller quantities may be possible for sample orders or repeat customers.
4. Do you provide third-party inspection?
Absolutely. We can arrange inspection by SGS, BV, or other independent agencies at buyer’s cost.
5. Are these coils suitable for high-frequency welding (HFW) pipes?
Yes, the chemical composition of SAE1006/1008 and ASTM A36 is optimized for ERW and HFW pipe welding, producing clean and strong joints.
6. What is the packing method for export?
Coils are packed with steel strapping, wrapped in waterproof paper, and optionally with wooden pallets or steel frames for container loading.
7. Can you supply coils with a width narrower than 600mm?
Narrower widths can be slit from master coils. Please contact us with your specific requirements.
8. How long does delivery take?
