Equal Angle
Equilateral angle steel, commonly known as angle iron, is a long strip of steel with two sides perpendicular to each other forming an angular shape. Its cross-section is in the form of an L. Its specifications are indicated by the millimeter numbers of the width of the two sides × the width of the two sides × the thickness of the side (such as 30×30×3), or can be expressed by the model (in centimeters, the width of the side). However, the width and thickness of the sides must be specified in the contract. The common lengths are mostly 6 meters, 9 meters, and 12 meters. The geometric shape deviation must comply with the standards, and there should be no defects such as layering, scars, or cracks on the surface.
Unequal Angle
Unequal-sided angle steel is a type of angle steel with a rectangular cross-section in the shape of a right-angle L, and the lengths of the two sides are not equal. It can be divided into two types: unequal-sided equal-thickness and unequal-sided unequal-thickness. Its specifications are indicated by the length of the long side × the width of the short side × the thickness of the side. The common range is 25mm × 16mm to 200mm × 125mm, and it can also be represented by a model such as L3/2#. This material is produced through hot rolling technology and is mainly used in fields such as building structures, bridges, mechanical manufacturing, and shipbuilding.
