Processing Guidelines
For optimal results with POM FM090, we recommend the following injection molding parameters:
Drying: 80–90°C for 2–4 hours (moisture content below 0.1%)
Melt Temperature: 190–210°C
Mold Temperature: 60–80°C
Injection Pressure: 80–120 MPa
Back Pressure: 0.5–1.5 MPa
Screw Speed: 30–60 rpm
The high fluidity of FM090 allows for lower injection pressures and faster cycle times, contributing to reduced energy consumption and higher productivity. Purging with a compatible polymer (e.g., PE or PP) is advised before switching grades.
