Product Overview The 4-Ring Butt Fusion Welder joins thermoplastic pipes from 63mm to 250mm diameter using heated plate butt fusion—the most reliable method for PE, PP, and PPR pressure pipe systems. The 4-ring clamping system keeps the pipe perfectly round during heating and pressing, producing joints that meet or exceed the pipe's pressure rating.
Welding Process The operator clamps the pipe ends in the 4-ring system, planes the ends with the integrated facer, heats both ends against the 0-270°C PTFE-coated heating plate, removes the plate, and presses the melted ends together under controlled pressure. The 40.2mm stroke accommodates large wall thickness and provides full fusion pressure throughout the cooling cycle.
Heating and Control The digital temperature controller maintains plate temperature within ±3°C of setpoint, ensuring consistent melt for every joint. The heating plate uses PTFE coating to prevent plastic adhesion and ease cleanup. A timer/alarm notifies the operator at each phase change (heat, change-over, cool).
