Two sides, one cart, no walking around
A single-sided tool rack works when it is fixed against a wall. The technician stands on one side. All tools face that direction. The wall is the back boundary.
A double-sided tool cart puts tool storage in the middle of the work area. Both sides are accessible. One person works from the left, another from the right. Or one person works one side for the first half of the job and rolls around for the second half. No walking back to the wall.
The HN-TC4203 is built for this walk-around workflow. The frame holds pegboard panels on both sides. Shelves sit between them. The cart rolls on four polyurethane casters with toe-operated brakes. Two U-shaped handles — one per side — let the technician push or pull from either direction.
In a workshop where a single workspace may run two different jobs in a shift, the double-sided cart replaces two single-sided racks with one unit that uses half the floor footprint.
The base reinforcement: where these carts break if not built right
The weakest point of any mobile pegboard cart is the base-to-column connection. The frame is tall — up to 1990 mm on the four-level model. The base is 610 mm deep. That is a 3.3:1 height-to-depth ratio. When the cart is loaded with tools on both sides and pushed across the floor, the leverage at the base joint is substantial.
Manufacturers who use thin-angle steel or skip cross-bracing rely on the pegboard panel itself to provide racking resistance. Over time, the welds at the base joint crack. The cart develops a wobble.
The HN-TC4203 uses a reinforced base beam with welded triangle gusset plates at each corner. The gussets transfer the load from the vertical column to the base plate across a wider surface than a direct butt weld. The base beam itself is made from heavier-gauge steel than the upper frame — the lower section has to absorb floor impact when the cart rolls over floor joints, debris, or the edge of a rubber mat.
The triangle reinforcement also protects against side impact. In a busy workshop, a cart gets bumped by a passing forklift, a pallet jack, or another cart being pushed into the same aisle. A standard square-weld base cracks under lateral load. A gusseted base transfers lateral force into the floor through the caster plates.
HN-TC4203 specifications: double-sided, mobile, four casters
All models in the HN-TC4203 series use double-sided construction with four polyurethane brake casters. Frame is cold-rolled steel with electrostatic powder coating. Standard colors: blue, light gray, orange, industrial gray.

The 610 mm depth allows carts to fit through standard doorways. For a workshop bay that has less than 610 mm of clearance around the equipment, the single-sided HN-TC4201 series (375 mm depth) is the alternative.
U-shaped handles and the bottom groove
Each side of the cart has a U-shaped handle formed from one continuous steel tube. The handle height matches the top shelf level, so the technician's hand position is natural when pushing — no stooping, no reaching overhead.
The handles also serve as a push guard in tight aisles. If the cart is placed back-to-back with another cart, the handles stop the pegboard panels from making contact.
The side panels on the HN-TC4203 have an inward recess at the bottom — a storage groove that holds two to three additional parts bins per side. These bins sit below the lowest shelf and are accessible from the side without opening the panel face. They are typically used for consumables: rags, gloves, zip ties, shop towels.
Which side gets which panel — and why it matters
The HN-TC4203 ships with pegboard panels on both sides as standard. The buyer can install one louvered panel instead of a pegboard panel on either side by ordering the swap at purchase.
Pegboard on both sides. Tools on both faces. The cart carries two complete tool sets — one per side — for two technicians sharing one workspaces. Typical in a two-person assembly station or a maintenance bay where two mechanics work on the same machine from opposite sides.
Pegboard on one side, louvered on the other. Tools on one face, parts bins on the other. The technician works from the tool side and pivots to the bin side to pick fasteners. Typical in a single-operator assembly station where the worker loads and assembles at the same spot.
Louvered on both sides. All bins, no hooks. Used in small-parts kitting stations. Bins on both sides hold different part families — metric on one side, standard on the other.
The panel swap takes two minutes. No special tools. No modification to the frame.
Tow-bar compatibility for large workshops
In a manufacturing facility, the HN-TC4203 series is sometimes towed in a train. A small tow tractor pulls a string of carts from the central tool crib to the production floor. The carts are loaded with the tools and parts needed for that shift. After the shift, they return in the same train.
For this application, the HN-TC4203 with the top plate option (model T) provides a flat upper surface that can hold bulkier items — fixture plates, battery packs, or boxed consumables. The four brake casters lock in position during the tow so the cart does not drift.
The CE certification covers the mechanical stability of the cart under workshop conditions. Buyers who need a documented compliance trail for factory safety audits get the CE marking on the product label.
Where the HN-TC4203 replaces two single-sided racks
Maintenance department. A machine shop with 20 CNC machines and a central maintenance room. The maintenance crew works on the shop floor, not in the room. Each HN-TC4203-4 holds a full set of maintenance tools and spare parts in one mobile unit. The crew rolls it to the down machine. One side has wrenches and sockets. The other has bearings, seals, and belts.
Assembly line changeover. During model changeovers on an assembly line, the previous model's tooling is removed and the next model's tooling is brought in. An HN-TC4203-3 for each assembly station. The old cart rolls out, the new cart rolls in. One cart per station, double-sided, no walking back to the tool crib.
Large-component assembly. Hydraulic pumps, gearboxes, or industrial fans assembled on a rotating fixture. The technician works from both sides of the fixture. The HN-TC4203 positioned next to the fixture provides access to tools and parts from either side without the technician stepping away from the assembly.
Tool crib by the loading dock. The receiving area needs tools for uncrating, inspection, and documentation. A HN-TC4203-2 with pegboard on one side for tools and louvered on the other for small parts keeps the dock organized. When the shift changes, the entire cart rolls into the tool locker.
CE certification for industrial procurement
The HN-TC4203 series is CE certified. For a factory in the EU or for a multinational company whose global EHS standard requires CE on workshop equipment, this certification shortens the approval process.

FAQ
What is the difference between double-sided and single-sided?
Double-sided (HN-TC4203) has tool faces on both sides and sits on casters. Single-sided (HN-TC4201) has one tool face, fixed feet, and is designed for wall mounting. The double-sided cart uses about twice the floor space but serves two work positions.
Do both sides get the same panel type?
Standard shipment is pegboard on both sides. For mixed configurations — one pegboard, one louvered — order at the time of purchase.
Can the cart be used outdoors?
The electrostatic powder coating resists moisture and UV better than standard paint, but the cart is designed for indoor workshop use. Prolonged outdoor exposure accelerates coating wear.
What is the warranty?
One year against manufacturing defects. Covers frame, casters, panels, and shelf structure. Does not cover damage from impact exceeding normal workshop use, chemical corrosion, or modifications.
What colors are available?
