The 12kV–550kV dry-type capacitive bushings, serving as critical insulation components in high-voltage power equipment, are categorized into composite and porcelain types based on the material of their housings. Both designs feature a dry-type capacitive core at their heart, leveraging their distinct material properties to deliver outstanding performance in various applications, thereby providing robust support for the stable operation of power systems.
I. Composite Casing-Type Dry Capacitor Bushing:
The outer layer of the composite sleeve-type dry capacitor bushing is made from a combination of glass-fiber-reinforced resin and silicone rubber umbrella skirts, a material pairing that provides it with numerous advantages.
In terms of weight, it is lighter than the porcelain-sleeved type, making installation much easier and reducing the load-bearing pressure on equipment—particularly ideal for scenarios where equipment weight is strictly limited. The silicone rubber umbrella skirt boasts excellent hydrophobic properties and outstanding resistance to pollution flashovers. Even in harsh environments such as areas with frequent fog, high humidity, heavy dust, or coastal salt spray, it effectively minimizes pollutant adhesion and significantly lowers the risk of surface discharge, ensuring stable insulation performance.
At the same time, composite materials exhibit excellent aging and corrosion resistance, effectively withstanding erosion from natural elements such as ultraviolet rays and ozone. II. Porcelain Sleeve-Type Dry-Type Capacitor Bushing:
The outer layer of the porcelain sleeve-type dry capacitor bushing is made from high-quality porcelain material, inheriting the excellent characteristics of traditional porcelain sleeves. Porcelain material boasts exceptionally high mechanical strength, enabling it to withstand substantial conductor weights, short-circuit electromagnetic forces, and external impacts—loads that would typically cause deformation or damage over time. Its insulation performance is reliable, with a smooth and dense glaze layer on the surface that effectively prevents current leakage under high-voltage conditions, ensuring safe insulation between the energized internal components and the equipment's outer casing.
