Are these cups truly plastic-free?
Yes. The lining is made from PLA (polylactic acid), a bioplastic derived from plant starch. It does not contain any petroleum-based plastics like polyethylene. The cup body is paperboard, so the entire cup is plastic-free. -
Can these cups be used for hot drinks?
Absolutely. They are designed for hot beverages like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, with a temperature tolerance up to 90°C (194°F) for short periods. However, prolonged exposure to very hot liquids may cause softening. -
Are the cups microwave safe?
Yes, for short reheating (up to 30 seconds). We do not recommend extended microwave use as it may weaken the cup structure. For best results, use a ceramic mug for reheating. -
How long does it take for these cups to compost?
In industrial composting facilities (with controlled temperature, humidity, and microorganisms), the cups typically decompose within 90–180 days. Home composting conditions may not be suitable due to lower temperatures. -
