Q: What concrete strength is suitable for these anchors?
A: These wedge anchors are rated for concrete strength classes from C20/25 up to C50/60. For higher strength concrete, the load capacity increases; please refer to our ETA table or consult our technical department. -
Q: Can the hot dip galvanized coating be damaged during installation?
A: The HDG coating is robust (55–85µm). During tightening, the wedge expansion may cause minor surface scuffing, but this does not compromise corrosion protection. For extremely corrosive environments, we recommend stainless steel anchors (available separately). -
Q: What is the difference between a wedge anchor and a sleeve anchor?
A: Wedge anchors expand through a cone-shaped wedge that is pulled up into a sleeve, creating a tight grip against the concrete. Sleeve anchors use a separate expansion sleeve. Wedge anchors generally offer higher load capacity and are preferred for heavy-duty static loads. -
