Semi-coke Composite Binder, also known as Lantan composite adhesive, is a customized functional polymer bonding material independently developed for the structural characteristics and application pain points of semi-coke (blue carbon). As a high-quality clean carbon material, semi-coke has the advantages of low volatile content, high fixed carbon content, low ash and low sulfur, and is widely used in calcium carbide smelting, ferrous alloy smelting, metal magnesium smelting, industrial gasification, boiler combustion and civil clean fuel fields. However, the semi-coke produced by carbonization and screening will produce 10%-30% semi-coke fine powder and dust during production, transportation and processing. This fine powder has no natural cohesiveness, cannot be directly put into industrial furnaces for combustion and gasification, and is prone to flying loss, low sales value and serious resource waste, which has always been a key problem restricting the economic benefit of semi-coke production enterprises.
Traditional bonding materials such as bentonite, loess, lime and single starch binder have obvious defects in practical application. Inorganic binders represented by bentonite require a high addition amount of 10%-18%, which will sharply increase the ash content of finished semi-coke briquettes, seriously reduce the fixed carbon content and calorific value of semi-coke, and cause furnace scaling and poor air permeability in industrial furnace application. Single organic starch binders have low thermal stability. Although they can ensure the cold strength of briquettes, they are easy to decompose and fail at high temperature, resulting in powdering and collapse of briquettes in the furnace, affecting furnace condition stability and production efficiency. Asphalt binders need high-temperature hot pressing molding, accompanied by toxic tar volatilization, pungent odor and non-compliant environmental protection indicators, which have been gradually eliminated by the market.
