Q1: Can this valve be used for seawater?
A1: Yes, the cast steel body is epoxy-coated for marine environments. For higher corrosion resistance, we recommend optional stainless steel disc and nickel-aluminum bronze seat.
Q2: Is a swing check design available instead of globe check?
A2: Yes, we can also supply flanged swing check valves in DN50-DN200. However, the globe check design offers faster closure and better pump protection against water hammer.
Q3: What flange standards do you support?
A3: Standard flanges conform to ASME B16.5 (150LB/300LB) or EN 1092-1 (PN16/PN25/PN40). Other standards like JIS can be manufactured upon request.
Q4: What is the delivery time?
A4: For standard sizes (DN50-DN150), delivery is 15-20 working days. Larger sizes DN200 may take 25-30 days. Custom material or special certificates may extend lead time.
Q5: Do you provide a material test certificate?
A5: Yes, we provide material certificates (EN 10204 2.2 or 3.1) as an option. Please specify at ordering.
Q6: Can the valve be installed vertically?
A6: Yes, it can be installed in vertical piping with flow upward. For horizontal installation, ensure the disc hinge is oriented correctly to avoid gravitational interference.
Q7: What is the maximum operating temperature?
A7: Standard design is -20°C to +200°C. For higher temperatures up to 350°C, we can supply with a high-temp gasket and seat material – please consult our sales team.
Q8: How do you test for leakage?
A8: We perform hydrostatic shell test at 1.5× rated pressure and a seat leakage test per API 598 Class VI (soft seal) or Class V (metal seal). Test reports are included.
