67817 jet pump kit opaque is used for Domino A Series, A Plus, A100, A200, A400, E50, A100+ and A200+ inkjet coding printers. It is a complete service kit designed for the ink management block section, containing 2 jet pumps and 5 O-rings for pump replacement and maintenance.
This kit is specifically designed for opaque (pigment) ink systems. The jet pump plays a critical role in the ink circulation circuit—it provides a restriction for the main pump to work against and creates a vacuum in the bleed line as fluid flows through it.
When the jet pump requires replacement, typical indicators include pump speed exceeding 2800rpm for opaque systems (as opposed to 3500rpm for standard systems) during normal operation. Additionally, opaque printers require a "wake-up mode" that operates the pump for approximately 2-3 minutes every 20 minutes to stir the pigment in the ink and maintain correct viscosity. This jet pump kit is suitable for ink system maintenance, pump replacement and printer service work.
