5K refers to a nominal pressure of 0.5 MPa (approx. 72 psi), while 10K is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The 10K valve has thicker walls and stronger flanges. Choose based on your system design pressure.
2. Can this valve be used for seawater applications?
Yes, the cast iron body is suitable for fresh and seawater in marine environments. However, for severe corrosive conditions, optional epoxy coating or bronze trim can be provided. Contact us for details.
3. Are the flanges compatible with ANSI or DIN standards?

7. Is the valve suitable for steam service?
Angle stop valves are primarily for liquid/gas shut-off. For saturated steam, we recommend a specific steam-rated design. This cast iron valve is not recommended for high-temperature steam above 200°C. Consult our technical team for steam applications.
