1. Product Overview
Round bar is solid steel bar with full circular cross-section, produced via hot rolling, cold drawing and peeling processes. With dense internal structure, it features good cutting, forging and machining performance. It is widely adopted as raw material for machinery, construction, forging and hardware industries. Custom cut-to-length service is provided according to clients’ requirements.
2. Three Main Manufacturing Processes
1. Hot Rolled Round Bar
Produced under high temperature rolling with natural black oxide surface. Cost-effective and abundant stock in large diameters. Suitable for rough machining, forging and construction structural parts.
2. Cold Drawn Round Bar
Finished by room-temperature cold drawing. It has narrow dimensional tolerance, smooth bright surface and excellent straightness. No extra polishing needed, directly applied for precision mechanical components.
3. Peeled Bright Round Bar
Hot rolled raw material processed by lathe peeling to remove oxide scale completely. Ultra-fine surface finish and ultra-precise tolerance, perfect for high-precision shafts, mold blanks and high-standard fittings.
3. Available Material Grades
Low Carbon Grades (Excellent welding & stamping capacity)
Q195, Q235, 20#, S20C, 1020
Medium Carbon Grades (Balanced tensile strength, fit for quenching & tempering)
35#, 45#, S45C, 1045
Alloy Structural Grades (High toughness and wear resistance for heavy load components)
40Cr, 42CrMo, 20CrMnTi
4. Technical Specifications
- Diameter scope: 6mm – 300mm
- Standard fixed lengths: 6m, 9m, 12m; arbitrary custom cutting length supported
- Size tolerance: Hot rolled ±0.3~1.0mm; Cold drawn & peeled ±0.02~0.15mm
- Surface types: Hot rolled black finish, cold drawn bright finish, peeled mirror bright finish

1. Uniform internal metallurgical structure without pores and delamination, avoiding cracks during forging
2. Strict control on dimension and straightness, reducing clients’ processing waste and production cost
3. Mill test certificate, mechanical property report and SGS test certificate can be offered

5. Anti-rust oil coating optional, waterproof packing to prevent rust during long sea transportation
