Fluorine-lined angle globe valve, fluorine-lined valve
A fluorine-lined globe valve is a valve in which the opening/closing element (the disc) is driven by the stem to move up and down along the centerline of the valve seat. It is primarily used in pipelines to start or stop the flow of the medium but is not suitable for throttling purposes.
Basic model numbers for fluorine-lined angle globe valves: J45F46-16C, J45F46-16P.
I. Basic Structure of Globe Valves
1. Fluoroplastic-lined globe valves—including the J41F46 (straight-through type), J45F46 (Y-pattern/straight-flow type), and J44F46 (angle type)—offer advantages such as a compact structure, flexible operation, excellent corrosion resistance, and a short travel distance (typically one-quarter of the nominal diameter). They are widely used in petroleum and chemical pipeline systems for flow shut-off. However, it must be emphasized that these valves must not be used for flow regulation; doing so could cause high-velocity fluid flow at the throttling point to erode and damage the sealing surfaces.
2. The disc and stem are designed as an integral unit to prevent internal components from being forced out of the valve body due to pipeline pressure fluctuations, ensuring a compact structure and operational safety.
II. Actuation Methods: Manual, gear-driven, pneumatic (normally open or normally closed), and electric.
Fluorine-lined valves (valves lined with fluoroplastics) offer excellent corrosion resistance. Types include fluorine-lined ball valves, flanged butterfly valves, wafer butterfly valves, gate valves, globe valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, and control valves. These valves can be equipped with worm-gear, electric, or pneumatic actuators to enable automated control.
