Shot Blasting Pretreated Carbon Steel Bottom Axis Dam Low Fouling Inland River Water Purification Water Blocking
Product Spotlights
A bottom shaft steel dam is a mainstream hydraulic flap gate widely adopted in urban river regulation, landscape water storage and flood control projects, featuring a bottom transverse rotating shaft structure and full hydraulic automatic driving. Unlike traditional sluice gates with top or side driving systems, its core load-bearing bottom shaft is buried horizontally at the riverbed foundation, which avoids occupying upstream and downstream river space and maintains complete river landscape consistency. The whole dam adopts Q235B low-alloy carbon steel as the main raw material, with the gate panel thickness ranging from 10mm to 22mm. Internal stiffening beam grids are welded at equal intervals on the back of the panel to disperse water pressure impact, preventing panel deformation under long-term high water head pressure. All steel components undergo shot blasting SA2.5 anti-rust treatment, matched with two layers of epoxy zinc-rich primer and one layer of polyurethane topcoat, providing over 20 years of anti-corrosion service life in fresh water and slightly brackish water environments.
Its working operation relies on symmetric hydraulic cylinder sets installed on both river banks. When water storage is required for urban landscape or agricultural irrigation, hydraulic cylinders extend synchronously to push the gate leaf to rotate upward around the bottom shaft, forming an interception barrier to raise upstream water levels stably. During flood seasons, the system can retract cylinders within 3 minutes to lay the gate flat parallel to the riverbed, achieving zero water blocking and unobstructed rapid flood discharge without forming water retention. An integrated intelligent PLC control system is equipped for remote one-key operation, automatic water level induction and linkage flipping. Manual hydraulic backup devices are reserved for power failure emergencies to ensure uninterrupted water regulation.
Structurally, the integrated bottom shaft and gate leaf are welded integrally instead of split hinged connection, eliminating leakage risks at connecting gaps. Customized rubber waterstop strips are embedded along the bottom shaft and two side bank joints, which resist sediment abrasion and prevent lateral and bottom seepage effectively. Compared with rubber dams and hinge flap gates, this steel dam requires no regular inflation maintenance, has strong resistance to floating debris, ice impact and torrential water flow. It adapts to river widths up to 60 meters without intermediate buttress supports, cutting foundation construction costs by nearly 30%. It is widely applied in urban inland rivers, scenic water corridors, reservoir tailrace channels and farmland irrigation ditches. With low daily maintenance frequency and simple component replacement, it meets long-term unmanned operation demands for global municipal and hydraulic contractors
