Precision Steel Pipe Product Specification

1. Product Definition

Precision steel pipes are high-precision seamless steel pipes manufactured through cold drawing and cold rolling processes. They eliminate the defects of ordinary steel pipes such as large dimensional deviation, rough inner walls and oxide layers. Featuring accurate dimensions, smooth surface, stable mechanical properties and excellent pressure tightness, the pipes can be directly used for precision assembly, high-pressure hydraulic systems, mechanical transmission and other core working conditions without secondary finishing, greatly reducing processing costs and working hours.

3. Core Materials, Models and Detailed Specifications

We only produce carbon steel and alloy steel precision steel pipes without stainless steel materials. Each material model adapts to different industrial scenarios with accurate and controllable specification parameters, and customized fixed-length and fixed-diameter production is available.

3.1 Common Material Models and Performance Characteristics

3.1.1 Carbon Steel Series (Universal Grade)

  • 20# Precision Steel Pipe: A high-quality low-carbon structural carbon steel with excellent plasticity, toughness and weldability without hardening tendency. It features uniform mechanical properties and high surface finish. It is a universal main material for hydraulic pipelines, oil cylinders, air cylinders and general mechanical structures, suitable for most normal-temperature and medium-low pressure working conditions.

  • 45# Precision Steel Pipe: A high-quality medium-carbon structural carbon steel with much higher strength and hardness than 20# steel, as well as excellent wear resistance and deformation resistance. It can be strengthened through heat treatment such as quenching and tempering. It is widely used for manufacturing precision shaft parts, gear bushes, machine tool accessories and high-strength mechanical structural parts.

3.1.2 Alloy Steel Series (High-strength, Wear-resistant and Pressure-resistant Grade)

  • 16Mn (Q345B) Precision Steel Pipe: A low-alloy high-strength steel with good low-temperature toughness, high compressive strength and strong impact resistance. It boasts excellent load-bearing performance and is suitable for heavy machinery structural supports, high-pressure fluid transmission and low-temperature equipment.

  • 20CrMo Precision Steel Pipe: A chromium-molybdenum alloy structural steel with good hardenability, high temperature resistance, fatigue resistance and high pressure resistance. After heat treatment, it retains sufficient core toughness and high surface hardness, applicable to high-pressure hydraulic systems, boiler pipelines and precision transmission parts.

  • 42CrMo Precision Steel Pipe: A high-strength alloy structural steel with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, high strength, good toughness, wear resistance and fatigue resistance. It can withstand heavy-load, high-speed and high-pressure working conditions, serving as a special material for core precision accessories of high-end machinery, automobile transmission systems and heavy-duty equipment.

3.2 General Dimension Range

  • Outer Diameter: 4mm–219mm, customized non-standard sizes are available

  • Wall Thickness: 1mm–20mm, customized thin and thick walls are supported

  • Standard Length: 3m–6m for factory delivery; customized fixed lengths from 1m to 12m and cutting service are available

3.3 Precision Tolerance Grade (GB/T 3639)

  • Outer Diameter Tolerance: High Grade ±0.05mm, Standard Grade ±0.10mm

  • Wall Thickness Tolerance: High Grade ±5%, Standard Grade ±10%

  • Surface Roughness: High Grade Ra≤0.4μm, Standard Grade Ra≤0.8μm; no oxide layers, cracks or pits on inner and outer walls

4. Production Process

Raw material selection → Precision rolling pretreatment of seamless pipes → Multi-pass cold rolling/cold drawing forming → Vacuum bright annealing (eliminating processing stress and refining grain structure) → Precision straightening → Fixed-length cutting → End face polishing → Eddy current/ultrasonic non-destructive testing → Dimensional precision inspection → Anti-rust surface treatment → Finished product packaging and warehousing. Strict full-process control ensures zero defective products.
