16 Drawer 48 Herb TCM Cabinet | Customizable With Casters, Locks & Drawer Labels for Pharmacy Use
Product Spotlights
Every pharmacy works differently. Some need the cabinet on wheels, moved between stations during the day. Some need half the drawers locked — controlled substances or expensive herbs that shouldn't be accessible to everyone. Some need label systems that match their inventory software.
This cabinet is a standard 16-drawer, 48-herb configuration with one difference: you decide the options before it's built.
Casters or no casters. Locks on specific drawers or all drawers. Drawer labels pre-printed to match your pharmacy's herb list. These aren't add-ons you install after delivery. They're built into the cabinet at the factory.

Casters — when you need the cabinet to move
Most large pharmacies I visit have a fixed layout. The cabinet goes where the counter is, and it stays there. But not every pharmacy works that way.
Some dispensaries have shared workstations. Two pharmacists share one counter during different shifts, each preferring a different cabinet position. With locking casters, the cabinet moves where it's needed and stays put once the brakes are engaged.
Cleaning is another reason. Under a stationary cabinet, dust and herb debris accumulate. Hospital inspectors notice. With casters, you roll the cabinet out, clean behind and underneath, roll it back. Takes two minutes.
Some buyers skip casters because they want the cabinet lower — 830mm instead of 900mm. That's fine too. The choice depends on your workflow.
What we offer: Four locking swivel casters. 50mm for a lower profile, 75mm for easier movement over thresholds. Mounting hardware included. You can order the cabinet with or without them — the mounting plates are welded into the base regardless, so you can add casters later if you change your mind.
Locks — controlling access
A pharmacy handles items that need controlled access. Some herbs are expensive enough that not every staff member should have unrestricted access. Some dispensaries operate with multiple shifts, and management wants drawer-level accountability.
We offer three lock configurations:
Individual drawer locks. Each of the 16 drawers has its own keyed lock. This is the most secure option — only authorized staff open specific drawers. Drawers without locks remain accessible.
Row-based locks. One lock controls a vertical row of four drawers. Common for pharmacies that organize by category — each row is a different herb category, and the row lock controls who accesses that category.
Full cabinet lock. A single lock disables all drawers. Used when the pharmacy needs to secure the entire cabinet after hours or during shift changes.
The locks are pin-tumbler type with two keys per lock. Master keying is available for pharmacies that want a single key to open multiple locks.
Drawer labels — matching your inventory system
Most cabinets ship with generic blank labels. You write the herb names by hand or print your own slips to slide into label holders. That works. But if you're setting up a pharmacy with a standardized inventory system, pre-printed labels save time and prevent the "who wrote that?" problem.
We offer two label types:
White plastic labels. Standard. Contrasts well against the stainless steel drawer front. Text is embossed, not printed — it won't fade or smudge with cleaning.
Stainless steel labels. Brushed finish matching the cabinet surface. Text is laser-etched. More expensive, but they match the cabinet and last indefinitely.
Pre-printing: You send us your herb list. We print the labels in the order you specify, matching your drawer layout. When the cabinet arrives, labels correspond directly to the compartments. No second-guessing, no rewriting when handwriting turns out illegible after a week.
How customization works in practice
You order a cabinet. You tell us which options you want. We build it accordingly.
Example 1 — A hospital pharmacy in Nigeria ordered 16-drawer cabinets with the following spec: casters, individual locks on the top two rows (8 drawers), stainless steel labels pre-printed with 48 herb names in alphabetical order.
Example 2 — A TCM clinic in Malaysia wanted no casters (fixed counter), no locks (single practitioner, no access issues), and white plastic labels left blank so they could write in Chinese characters.
Example 3 — A pharmacy chain in the UAE ordered 20 units with a uniform spec: casters, row-based locks (one key per four-drawer row), pre-printed stainless steel labels.
Same base cabinet. Three different configurations. Each matched the buyer's actual workflow.
What doesn't change
With all these options, the core cabinet stays the same.
Same Type 201 stainless steel. Same welded construction. Same 16-drawer, 48-compartment layout. Same ball-bearing slides. Same fully assembled delivery.
The options are layered on top of a cabinet that doesn't change quality based on which options you pick. A cabinet with no locks, no casters, and blank labels is built to the same standard as a fully loaded unit with every option.
Setting up your cabinet
When the cabinet arrives, here's what you do:
Unpack the crate. Remove the moisture barrier.
If you ordered casters — the cabinet is easy to tip onto its side with one person. Mount the four casters with the included wrench. Tighten until snug.
Stand the cabinet upright. Lock two casters to keep it stationary while you load the drawers.
Insert drawer labels. If pre-printed, match the label to the corresponding drawer position.
Load herbs. Assign compartments according to your dispensing layout.
Without casters, skip step 2 and 3. Place the cabinet in its final position on the counter or floor and load the drawers.
Total setup time: 15 minutes for a cabinet with casters. Five minutes without.
What we need from you before ordering
To build your cabinet correctly, we need:
Casters: yes or no
Lock type: individual, row-based, full cabinet, or none
Locked drawers (if individual): which drawer numbers
Label type: white plastic or stainless steel
Label text: blank, or your herb list in order
Label language: Latin names, English common names, or both
Compartment layout: 2, 3, or 4 per drawer (standard is 3)
FAQs
Q: Can I add locks later? The mounting holes for locks can be drilled on-site, but it's more work. We recommend deciding at the time of order. If you're unsure, it's cheaper to include locks and not use them than to retrofit.
Q: Can I change the label layout after delivery? Labels are replaceable. If you reorganize your herb placement, you can order new labels.
Q: Do the casters work on carpet? The standard 50mm casters work on low-pile carpet. For thicker carpet or uneven floors, the 75mm option is better.
Q: What if I order locks and lose the key? We keep key codes for all orders. Replacement keys can be shipped within a week.
Q: Can I mix lock types — some drawers on individual locks, others on a row lock? Yes. Less common, but we can configure mixed locking systems. Discuss your layout before ordering.
From our side
Most of our orders come with at least one customization. Casters, locks, or labels — sometimes all three. The base cabinet is the same, but the details change for each buyer.
That's how it should work. You shouldn't have to adjust your pharmacy's workflow to fit a standard cabinet. The cabinet should fit your workflow.
Send us your requirements. We'll quote the configuration that matches.
