Angle Steel Product Specification
1. Product Overview
Chinese Name: Angle Steel; English Name: Equal & Unequal Angle BarAngle steel is hot rolled long-section steel with L-shaped 90° cross-section formed by two perpendicular flanges integrally rolled. It is divided into equal angle steel and unequal angle steel, widely-used common carbon structural section steel featuring excellent weldability, bending, drilling and cutting performance, stable structural performance and cost-effectiveness. It is one of the most consumed structural steel for global infrastructure and steel construction.Production Process: Hot Rolled, supplied at ambient temperature; further processing including hot-dip galvanizing and paint coating is available upon request.
2. Product Classification
2.1 By Cross-Section Shape
Equal Angle Steel: Two flanges with identical width, marked as ∟Width×Width×Thickness (mm), e.g. ∟50×50×5. Model numbered by flange width in centimeter from No.2 to No.20 (20mm~200mm flange width).
Unequal Angle Steel: Two flanges in different widths, marked as ∟Long Side×Short Side×Thickness, e.g. ∟100×63×6. Model ranges from No.3.2/2 to No.20/12.5.
2.2 By Surface Treatment
Raw Hot Rolled Angle Steel: Original rolled oxide surface, regular in stock for general construction projects.
Hot Dip Galvanized (HDG) Angle Steel: Zinc coating thickness 30~50μm with superior anti-corrosion performance, specially used for outdoor projects, chemical industry and transmission towers.
2.3 By Dimension
Small-size: Flange width below 50mm; Medium-size: 50~125mm; Large-size: above 125mm.

5.1 Size Range
Equal Angle: Flange width 20~200mm, thickness 3~20mm
Unequal Angle: Long side 25~200mm, short side 16~125mm, thickness 3~18mm
5.2 Standard Length
Standard stock length: 6m / 9m / 12m per piece; customized fixed length or multiple length from 3m to 19m available, cutting tolerance ±1mm.
5.3 Theoretical Weight Formula
W(kg/m)=0.00785 × Thickness × (2 × Side Width − Thickness)Example: ∟50×50×5: 0.00785×5×(100−5)=3.73kg/m
6. Surface Quality Requirements
No harmful rolling defects including crack, lamination, scarring, inclusion or over-depth pit on surface; slight iron oxide scale is acceptable.
Vertical angle controlled at 90° within tolerance, no obvious torsion or camber; bending ≤3mm per meter, full-length bending ≤0.3% of total length.
Smooth cutting end with no excessive burrs.

9. Packing, Inspection & Shipment (For Export)
9.1 Packing
Regular bundling: 1~3 tons per bundle fixed by steel strapping with labels marked with size, grade, heat number and net weight at both ends;Export customized package: Covered with waterproof woven cloth, loaded into container (20GP: approx.25MT per container).
9.2 Inspection
Original Mill Test Certificate (MTC) issued with each batch including heat analysis and mechanical test report; third-party inspection like SGS & CE is acceptable.
9.3 Delivery Term
In-stock goods: 5~7 working days delivery.
10. Additional Processing Service
Available services: Hot-dip galvanizing, anti-rust painting, customized cutting, punching, bending and component welding.
