The core equipment of the nano-membrane covered system is the composite membrane (covering membrane) placed on the livestock and poultry manure pile. This membrane is composed of an e-PTEF membrane combined with a substrate, and it is sandwiched between two layers of strong polyurethane substrate membranes. The e-PTEF membrane is evenly distributed with micropores with a pore size of 0.2μm, while the polyurethane membrane has the characteristics of anti-ultraviolet and corrosion resistance. Sealing livestock and poultry manure with the composite membrane for high-temperature aerobic pre-fermentation can protect it from wind and rain and avoid the influence of bad weather. At the same time, it allows the carbon dioxide gas and water vapor generated during the treatment process to be quickly discharged. The water permeability of the membrane affects the change of moisture during the treatment process. It should prevent the material from being too wet and retain sufficient moisture for the degradation of the material. The e-PTEF membrane has a certain insulation and pressurization effect, which can help the system maintain the temperature, make the oxygen concentration and temperature in the pile evenly distributed, and is beneficial for the entire pile to reach the temperature conditions for killing pathogens. The 0.2μm micropores on the e-PTEF membrane are an effective physical barrier for dust, aerosols, and microorganisms, preventing them from diffusing outward. During the pre-fermentation process, a layer of condensed water film will form on the inner surface of the membrane; most of the odorous substances in the exhaust gas, such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, volatile organic compounds (VOC), etc., will dissolve in the water film and then fall back onto the pile with the water droplets, where they continue to be decomposed by microorganisms. This covering membrane can reduce the odor concentration during the fermentation process by 90%-97% and reduce the microorganisms in the exhaust gas by more than 99%, thus protecting the health of on-site workers and surrounding residents.
