Key Performance Features and Functions
The Governor Test Stand supports dynamic configuration of speed, pressure, shutdown protection signals, and other critical operating parameters required for governor testing and calibration. The system provides comprehensive testing and performance verification capabilities, including:
1. Run-In Test
Performs governor run-in procedures at speeds specified in the applicable Technical Service Procedure (TSP) to ensure proper operation and reliability.
2. Pneumatic / AC / DC Speed Setting Test
Calibrates and verifies governor speed-setting mechanisms driven by pneumatic actuators, AC motors, or DC motors.
3. Speed Range Calibration
Adjusts and verifies minimum and maximum speed settings according to the specifications of different governor models.
4. Static Performance Test
Simulates diesel engine no-load operating conditions to measure governor stability, static speed fluctuation, and droop characteristics.
5. Step Speed Change Test
Evaluates governor dynamic response by applying sudden speed increases or decreases and recording transient behavior and stabilization time.
6. Load Variation Test
Simulates rapid load application and load rejection conditions to assess speed deviation, recovery performance, and system stability.
7. Droop Adjustment and Verification
Adjusts and validates governor droop settings under simulated load-change conditions to meet operational requirements.
8. Oil Pressure and Temperature Monitoring
Provides real-time monitoring and display of lubricating oil pressure and oil temperature throughout the testing process.
