Cold rolled steel coil is produced by further rolling hot rolled steel coil at room temperature. It features high surface finish, stable dimensional accuracy, and excellent mechanical properties, along with good formability and coating adhesion. The production process typically includes pickling, cold rolling, annealing, and tempering. The thickness generally ranges from 0.2 mm to 3.0 mm, with various widths available.
In terms of applications, cold rolled steel coil is widely used in automotive manufacturing, home appliance production, building decoration, metal products, electrical control cabinets, and office furniture. For example, outer and inner panels of automobiles, refrigerator shells, color-coated substrates, and galvanized substrates all use cold rolled steel coil as the primary material. Due to its superior surface quality and mechanical performance, it is also commonly used as raw material for deep drawing, cold bending, and precision components. Cold rolled steel coil is an essential basic material in modern industry.
Deep processing requires annealing treatment. Due to the lack of heating during the production process of cold rolled steel coils, there are no defects such as pits and oxide scales that often occur during hot rolling. The surface quality is good and the smoothness is high. Moreover, the dimensional accuracy of cold rolled high carbon spring steel coils is high, and the performance and structure of the products can meet some special usage requirements, such as electromagnetic performance, deep drawing performance, etc.
