roubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
Skipped Stitches: Ensure the needle is inserted correctly and is not bent or dull. Check if the correct needle type (J65#-110# or J90#(14)) is being used for the fabric. Re-thread the machine completely.
Tangled Thread (Bird's Nest): This often occurs in the bobbin area. Check if the bobbin is wound evenly and inserted correctly. Ensure the upper thread is properly seated in the tension discs and take-up lever.
Broken Needle: This can happen if the needle is bent, dull, or if you pull the fabric while sewing. Replace the needle immediately. Ensure you are using the appropriate needle size for your fabric.
Machine Not Starting: Check if the power cord and foot pedal are securely connected. Ensure the power switch is on.
Uneven Stitches: Verify that the tension settings for both upper and bobbin threads are balanced. Test on a scrap piece of fabric and adjust as needed.
If you encounter persistent issues, spare parts are available separately, and technical support can be provided.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your sewing machine.
Cleaning: Regularly clean lint and dust from the bobbin area, feed dogs, and tension discs using a small brush. Disconnect power before cleaning.
Needle Replacement: Replace needles frequently, especially when they become dull, bent, or after completing a large project. A fresh needle prevents skipped stitches and fabric damage.
Oiling: Consult a sewing machine technician or refer to specific oiling points if your machine requires manual lubrication. Over-oiling can cause issues.
Storage: When not in use, cover the machine to protect it from dust. Store it in a dry, stable environment.
Operating Instructions
Power On: Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position.
Stitch Selection: Use the stitch selector dial to choose your desired stitch pattern. The JH307 supports up to sixty kinds of embroidery stitches, including zigzag. Adjust stitch length (11#--14#) and width (2.5-4.5 MM) as needed.
Fabric Placement: Lift the presser foot using the lever. Place your fabric under the presser foot, aligning the edge with the seam guide. Lower the presser foot.
Starting to Sew: Gently press the foot pedal to start sewing. The machine operates at a high speed of up to 1000 S.P.M. Control the speed by varying the pressure on the foot pedal.
Guiding Fabric: Guide the fabric gently with both hands, ensuring it feeds smoothly under the needle. Do not pull or push the fabric forcefully.
Stopping: Release the foot pedal to stop sewing. Raise the needle to its highest position, lift the presser foot, and gently pull the fabric away from the machine. Cut the threads.
Reverse Stitching: Use the reverse lever/button for back-tacking at the beginning and end of seams to secure stitches.
Setup
Unpacking: Carefully remove the sewing machine from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future storage or transport.
Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat surface with adequate lighting. Ensure there is enough space around the machine for comfortable operation and fabric handling.
Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the machine and then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position before plugging in.
Foot Pedal Connection: Connect the foot pedal to the designated port on the machine.
Threading the Machine:
Upper Threading: Follow the numbered or indicated thread guides from the spool pin, through the tension discs, take-up lever, and down to the needle.
Bobbin Winding: Wind the bobbin according to the instructions, ensuring even tension.
Inserting the Bobbin: Place the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread is correctly routed through the tension spring.
Needle Installation: Ensure the needle is correctly inserted with the flat side facing the back (or as indicated in the machine's specific diagram) and tightened securely. Use needle types J65#-110# or J90#(14).
