Boiler Plate Product Specification
Boiler plate is special steel plate for boilers and pressure vessels, featuring high temperature resistance, pressure resistance, creep resistance and excellent weldability. It is mainly manufactured in accordance with national standard GB 713.
1. Definition & Core Properties
Serves under medium-high temperature up to 600℃ and pressure of 10-30MPa, resistant to pressure load, fatigue and water vapor corrosion.Key advantages: high high-temperature strength, creep resistance, fatigue resistance, good weldability, cold bending performance, oxidation and corrosion resistance.Applicable standards: GB 713-2014, ASTM A516/A387, EN 10028
2. Common Grades & Chemical Composition
Carbon Boiler Plate (≤450℃, medium & low pressure)
Q245R: C≤0.20, Si≤0.35, Mn 0.50-1.10
20G: C 0.17-0.24, Si 0.17-0.37, Mn 0.35-0.65
Low Alloy Boiler Plate (450-560℃, medium & high pressure)
Q345R: Mn 1.20-1.60, trace Nb/V/Ti
15CrMoR: Cr 0.80-1.20, Mo 0.25-0.35
12Cr1MoVR: Cr 0.90-1.20, Mo 0.25-0.35, V 0.15-0.30

5. Production Process
Smelting: Electric furnace + LF/VD refining, low phosphorus and sulfur content
Rolling: High temperature controlled rolling
Heat treatment: Grain refinement and stress relief
Ultrasonic testing: Grade I/II non-destructive inspection

Boiler drum, header, tube sheet, superheater, water wall, pressure vessel, reactor, storage tank, heat exchanger, power plant and chemical industrial equipment, heating boiler
7. Grade Selection
Below 450℃ low pressure: Q245R, 20G
450-550℃ medium pressure: Q345R, 15CrMoR
550-600℃ high pressure: 12Cr1MoVR
Low temperature working condition: 16MnDR
