1、Product Introduce
The bridge segment splicing adhesive is a two-component modified epoxy resin adhesive, with the main component being modified epoxy resin. It is specially designed for bonding joints in bridge precast segment assembly and suspension construction processes. The working mechanism involves using the splicing adhesive to lubricate rough surfaces during assembly and before the gel solidifies, thereby compensating for minor surface defects. Once cured, it ensures the waterproof performance of the joints.
2、Product Features
High thixotropy, non-flowing or dripping, high strength, high elastic modulus, low creep, and other advantages.
The adhesive has a long working time, cures rapidly, develops strength quickly, and does not affect prestressing operations.
It exhibits strong bonding ability with concrete, high load transfer efficiency, good toughness, fatigue resistance, impact resistance, and ease of consolidation.
The joints formed by the adhesive are waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and do not leak water.
It remains non-crystalline in winter, enabling construction at low temperatures.
Depending on the construction environment temperature, different formulations of the splicing adhesive are available for winter, summer, and spring-autumn construction.
3、Construction Technology
1.Bridge precast segment assembly plan determination: According to design requirements, the precast segment assembly implementation plan is confirmed.
2.Installation and commissioning of bridge gantry: The bridge box beams are transported and positioned during the precast stage, and the lifting and assembly preparation is carried out in the confirmed sequence.
3.Cleaning of box beam joint surfaces: Prior to the assembly of structural precast concrete box beams, the decorative layer, grease, dirt, loose stones, and crumbly structures should be removed, exposing fresh and solid concrete base. Then, blow away debris and floating dust with compressed air.
4.Segment trial assembly and adjustment: Lift the precast segment and perform a trial assembly with the already assembled segment. First, perform initial alignment and then fine-tune together. After successful trial assembly, visually control the joint width to control different areas' adhesive thickness. Then lock the joint angle, shift the hoisted block 30~50cm, and apply adhesive.
5.Adhesive preparation: Estimate the required amount of adhesive and mix components A and B in a clean container in a weight ratio of A:B=2:1 until a uniform color is achieved. Generally, the mixing time should be around 2-3 minutes.
6.Adhesive application on the joint surfaces: Apply the Manca Bridge segment splicing adhesive on both joining surfaces, with a thickness of 1-2mm. For parts with wider gaps during trial assembly, apply more adhesive as needed. When spreading the adhesive, ensure consistency and direction, and maintain a uniform application. Additionally, high compression sealing rings should be placed at the prestressing duct openings.
7.Formal assembly and applying temporary prestress: Position the segment to be joined with the already assembled segment. Apply temporary prestress of approximately 0.2-0.3 MPa to the top and bottom plates of the two segments, pressing the joint with a width of about 1mm. Ensure that the joint overflows with adhesive and achieves a strong bond.
8.Excess adhesive removal and curing: Clean up the excess adhesive from the joint, ensuring that there is no blocking in the duct openings. Cover with rainproof cloth to protect from rain, and during curing and maintenance, avoid any disturbances.
