1. Product Definition
Cold Rolled Steel Coil (CRC) is made from hot rolled coil as raw material. After pickling to remove oxide scale, it is cold-rolled continuously at room temperature (below recrystallization temperature), then processed by annealing, leveling, finishing, etc. It is also known as cold coil or cold rolled plate coil.
2. Production Process
Raw Material Preparation: Select high-quality low-carbon hot rolled steel coils, inspect surface quality and dimensions.
Pickling: Chemical pickling to remove oxide scale and ensure clean substrate.
Cold Continuous Rolling: Rolled to target thickness at room temperature (work hardening).
Annealing: Batch annealing or continuous annealing to eliminate internal stress, soften material and improve ductility.
Skin Passing & Finishing: Small reduction rolling to improve flatness, surface finish and straightness.
Slitting & Coiling: Sheared to required width, coiled into standard steel coils, with surface protection (oiling / passivation).
Inspection & Packaging: Inspection of dimensions, mechanical properties and surface quality, moisture-proof and rust-proof packaging.

Thickness: 0.15mm – 3.0mm (standard 0.2–2.0mm, tolerance ±0.02mm)
Width: 600mm – 1500mm (customizable 500–2000mm)
Inner Diameter: 508mm (20in) / 610mm (24in)
Coil Weight: 5–30 tons (standard 8–15 tons)
Length: Calculated by coil weight and thickness; can be cut into flat sheets 1200–6000mm

6.2 Transportation
Suitable for sea, land and rail transportation
Avoid rain, moisture, collision and heavy pressure
Use special lifting tools to prevent edge and surface damage
6.3 Storage
Indoor, dry, ventilated, dust-proof and anti-corrosive environment
Stack stably, avoid tilting, rolling or over-height stacking
FIFO principle; recommended storage period ≤ 6 months
