The advantages of plastic fuel tanks are:
1. High degree of freedom in shape design, high space utilization rate, and the material can be recycled. Plastic fuel tank equipment generally uses the hollow blow molding method and can be made into complex special-shaped structures. Therefore, when the overall layout of the automobile has been determined, the available space can be fully utilized to maximize the volume of the fuel tank equipment, thereby increasing the fuel storage capacity;
2. Lightweight. Since the relative density of plastic is only 1/8 - 1/7 of that of metal, compared with metal fuel tank equipment of the same volume, the weight can be reduced by 30% - 50%, thus reducing the vehicle's equipment quality and fuel consumption;
3. Corrosion resistance. Plastic materials have the characteristics of corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of water, dirt, and other media;
The upper template of the automobile fuel tank equipment mold is installed on the slider of the press. The wedge is screwed onto the upper template and can move up and down reciprocally with the press slider; the punch is fixed on the punch fixing plate. The punch fixing plate and the flanging die are fixed on the flanging die fixing seat with screws and pins at the same time. The flanging die fixing seat is fixed on the lower template with screws and pins; the punch - die is screwed onto the sliding wedge and can move horizontally back and forth on the lower template. The structure of the automobile fuel tank equipment module uses the wedge to push the sliding wedge, and the sliding wedge pulls the punch - die to move horizontally. In one stamping stroke, two processes of punching and hole flanging on the side wall of the fuel tank are completed.
