The fluorescence filter set used in PCR usually consists of three filters with different effects, mainly including excitation filters, emission filters, dichroic filters, etc. Among them, the excitation filter allows the fluorescence wavelength to pass through during the detection process. A band-pass filter is used to obtain fluorescence imaging. The emission filter intercepts the sample fluorescence through a specific wavelength band for transmission. Since the emission light has a longer wavelength, a long-pass filter can also be used. In a fluorescence microscope, the excitation light will appear on the target and turn into the set light in the spectrum, which can be captured by the dichroic mirror through the excitation filter.

Finally, the fluorescence filter generally allows the emission light to pass through at the imaging end and shields all interfering light to achieve a better signal-to-noise ratio.
