Automatic Truck Sampler
Auger sampling systems are generally used for collecting coal samples from trucks and railcars. Auger samplers are suitable for sampling from various, small-batch coal sources. They can be installed together with truck scales and rail scales to form a complete weighing and sampling process.
The screw-type sampling system is designed, produced, and manufactured according to ASTM D-4916, "Standard Practice for Mechanical Auger Sampling." This standard specifies the guiding principles for sampling, crushing, and division using an auger. Combining these principles with Samo's professional expertise in the design and manufacturing of mechanized sampling and sample preparation equipment ensures sample representativeness and equipment reliability.
Samo auger samplers can be categorized into various forms, including gantry type, overhead travelling crane type, and jib type.
When the auger sampler drills to collect a coal sample, the lifting mechanism drives the auger bit to descend, while the auger rotates continuously to lift the coal within the drill barrel. A portion of the collected coal sample enters a collection hopper for sample preparation, while the other portion is returned to the vehicle via the reject chute on the auger sampler. The drill bit is made of special hard alloy material, suitable for sampling frozen coal layers. It also possesses crushing capability, able to break up and collect large chunks of coal, making the sample more representative.
