Guangzhou Mechanical Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. was founded in 1959. It was a top-tier comprehensive research institute directly under the former Ministry of Machinery Industry and one of the national technical centralization units for the machinery industry. In 1999, it was restructured into a state-owned science and technology enterprise and affiliated to Sinomach Group. It is also one of the first 242 key research institutes restructured under the approval of the State Council. GY MF-G14 Liquid Sealant is a viscous liquid at room temperature. It can easily fill the gaps between two mating surfaces during application, and forms a uniform, stable and continuous viscoelastic film after a certain drying period. This film features excellent stability against sealed media and is non-corrosive to metals. Sealing between two mating surfaces is achieved through the filling effect of the film and the clamping force applied externally.
Unlike solid gaskets made of rubber, asbestos, metal, paper and other materials, this sealant is flowable. It requires no compressive deformation essential for solid gaskets to achieve sealing, and eliminates leakage-causing factors such as internal stress, relaxation, creep and elastic fatigue failure. Thanks to its fluidity, it can fill recesses and gaps between mating surfaces completely and eliminate interfacial leakage, making it an ideal material for static sealing.
Typical Applications & Properties
It is used for thread and plane sealing of various electromechanical products, such as leakage-proof sealing for mating surfaces of automotive oil cylinders, oil pans, various gearbox covers and side covers of machine tools, engines, transformers, as well as leakage-proof sealing for valve joints and pipe joints of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, water heaters, gas appliances and other equipment.
