Most likely, yes. Our RFID reader operates at the standard 13.56 MHz frequency used by common access control systems like HID iCLASS, MiFare, DESFire, and many others. If your existing building access cards use this frequency, employees can use the exact same card for their locker. No separate card needed. 2. What actually happens during a power cut? Can employees still get their things?
During a power cut, the locks remain securely closed. They are designed to be "fail-secure," meaning they stay locked when power is lost. This prevents theft during an outage. However, the system includes an emergency backup: the facilities manager or authorised person can use the mechanical spare key to open the central control box. From there, they can manually release any individual door. So employees can always retrieve their belongings, but only through a controlled process that maintains security.
3. How hard is it to add more lockers later if our team expands?
It's very straightforward. As long as you started with a main cabinet (which contains the control system), you can add sub-cabinets at any time. The sub-cabinets bolt onto the side of the main unit and connect with a simple data cable. They draw power from the main cabinet's supply.
