A scraper conveyor is a material handling system that transports bulk materials within a trough using a scraper chain. It consists of three main components: the head, middle section, and tail section. Additional auxiliary components include hydraulic jacks for conveyor advancement and chain tensioners for securing the chain. The head section comprises a head frame, motor, hydraulic coupling, reducer, and sprockets. The middle section features transition troughs, central troughs, chains, and scrapers. The tail section contains the return mechanism for the scraper chain.
