The high-speed steel of Wuxi Jinnike Metal Products Co., Ltd. belongs to high-alloy ledeburite steel. During the actual solidification of the ingot, due to the fast cooling rate, the alloy elements have no time to diffuse. Therefore, the transformation during the crystallization and solid-state phase transformation processes cannot be fully carried out. Usually, the as-cast structure of high-speed steel forgings consists of fishbone-shaped ledeburite, black structure, and bright white structure (martensite + retained austenite). The coarse eutectic carbides in the as-cast high-speed steel structure must be repeatedly forged and drawn multiple times to crush the carbides, making them into evenly distributed granular carbides as much as possible. Then, stress relief annealing is carried out to obtain a structure of sorbite and carbides. During forging, the final forging temperature should be controlled. If the temperature is too low, it is easy to cause cracking during forging; if the temperature is too high, the grains will become coarse, forming a so-called naphthalene-like fracture.

The holding time of the high-temperature annealing process is greatly shortened, and the holding time in the cooling stage is almost eliminated, so the annealing cycle is greatly shortened. After high-temperature annealing, the hardness of high-speed steel is lower than that of ordinary annealing, and the cutting performance is better. The cutting efficiency can be improved by 20%. The cutting life of tools made of high-speed steel after high-temperature annealing is 15%-20% longer than that of tools made of high-speed steel after ordinary annealing. The special steel used to manufacture rolling bearings is called rolling bearing steel, usually referred to as bearing steel for short. The working conditions of rolling bearings are extremely harsh, basically working under high load, high speed, and high sensitivity. The main forms of its failure are fatigue and wear. Therefore, usually, rolling bearings are required to have high and uniform hardness and wear resistance, high contact fatigue strength, high elastic limit, certain toughness, good dimensional stability, and certain corrosion resistance. In addition, for bearings working under special conditions, there are other special requirements, such as high-temperature performance and corrosion resistance. In order to meet the performance requirements of bearings, for bearing steel, the correct chemical composition, high metallurgical quality, and reasonable processing and treatment processes are the three main keys. Among them, heat treatment plays an important role in improving the internal quality of bearings and extending their service life.
