1. Refractoriness: The refractoriness of high-alumina bricks can reach up to 1770~2000°C.
2. Load softening temperature: Due to the high content of Al₂O₃ and few impurities in high-alumina bricks, less fusible vitreous bodies are formed. Therefore, the load softening temperature is higher than that of clay bricks.
3. Slag resistance: High-alumina refractory bricks contain more Al₂O₃ and are close to neutral refractory materials, which can resist the erosion of acidic and alkaline slags.
4. Flexural strength: The ability to withstand shear stress.
5. Thermal shock resistance: The ability to resist sudden temperature changes without being damaged.
6. High compressive strength at normal and high temperatures.
It is mainly used for the lower deflector cap of the sleeve kiln.
