Heavy Duty Rolling Tool Cart with Silent Casters, 4-Drawer & Cabinet for Aviation Workshop

Aviation maintenance crews work with precision instruments, torque wrenches, and specialized tooling that cannot sit on the floor or get mixed in open bins. This 4-drawer rolling tool cart gives each technician a mobile workstation that moves through hangar bays and locks down when the job starts.

Built for Aircraft Maintenance Floors

The cart measures 570mm wide × 570mm deep × 1360mm high. That footprint fits standard maintenance aisles without blocking tow tractors or parts carts. The total height stays below most wing sections, so technicians roll it under aircraft bellies without ducking or repositioning.

Four drawers run on ball-bearing slides. The top drawer stays shallow for small items—O-rings, cotter pins, safety wire, and torque adapters. Lower drawers go deeper for power tools, torque multiplier sets, and rivet guns. A single central lock secures all four drawers at once. One key, one turn, everything stays inside during shift changes or overnight storage. No separate padlocks, no missing keys, no tools left unsecured.

Behind the drawers, a perforated back panel adds vertical storage. Hooks hang wrenches, pliers, wire strippers, and inspection mirrors at eye level. Technicians grab what they need without opening drawers or bending down. The back panel measures 390mm tall, sized for standard aviation hand tools. Hook positions adjust to match any technician's workflow—place frequently used tools on the right, less common items on the left.

Silent Casters for Hangar Environments

Four 360° swivel casters mount to the base. Two include foot-activated brakes. The wheel tread uses a soft polyurethane compound that rolls quietly over concrete, epoxy, and sealed hangar floors. No squeaking, no rattling, no vibration that could disturb sensitive avionics work nearby. Technicians push a fully loaded cart across a 50-meter hangar bay without disturbing other shifts on the floor.

Brakes lock the cart in place during torque applications or when technicians lean against the unit for leverage. The brake pedal sits close to the base—easy to reach with a foot tap, no bending required.

The swivel mechanism uses double ball bearings inside the caster housing. Tight turns around aircraft landing gear, narrow passages between tool cribs, and cramped engine shop layouts all handle without jerking or sticking.

Steel Construction, Powder-Coated Finish

The body uses cold-rolled steel, formed and welded at the corners. A powder-coat layer covers all surfaces—blue on the drawers and back panel, white on the frame. The finish resists aviation fluids including Skydrol hydraulic fluid, jet fuel residue, and common degreasers. Wipe-downs take seconds between jobs. The paint will not peel, chip, or fade in hangars that run hot in summer and cold in winter.

Drawer fronts include aluminum pull handles. The metal stays cool to the touch in hangars that see temperature swings from 5°C to 40°C. No plastic components crack or fade under UV exposure near hangar doors. Drawer slides use stamped steel brackets welded to the cabinet frame—no glued parts, no plastic clips, nothing that snaps off after months of daily use.

The cabinet door at the bottom swings open on a continuous piano hinge. Inside, a fixed shelf splits the space into two levels. Store inspection panels, spare lamp assemblies, or sealed bearing kits in the lower cabinet where they stay clean and out of the way.

How Aviation Teams Use This Cart

Line Maintenance: Technicians roll the cart to the aircraft parking position. Brakes lock. Tools stay organized while performing A-checks, B-checks, tire changes, or engine boroscope inspections. After the job, unlock the casters and roll back to the tool crib. The cart holds everything needed for a typical transit check—no second trip to the toolbox required.

Component Shops: Engine, landing gear, and avionics repair shops use multiple carts color-coded by system. Blue for airframe, red for engines, yellow for electrical, green for avionics. The central locking system prevents cross-contamination of tool sets between work centers. FOD control starts with tool control.

Training Facilities: Aviation maintenance schools issue one cart per student workstation. The four drawers organize tools by ATA chapter—airframe structures, powerplant systems, electrical wiring, instruments and avionics. Students learn proper tool control habits before entering the workforce. The pegboard back panel teaches them to return each tool to its designated hook position.

MRO Facilities: Heavy maintenance overhaul bases run multiple shifts. Each shift gets an assigned cart. At shift handover, the outgoing technician locks the cart, logs the serial number, and hands the key to the incoming technician. Tool accountability stays continuous. No missing tools during aircraft reassembly.

Fits Through Standard Hangar Doors

The 570mm width clears standard personnel doors and hangar roll-up door frames. Technicians move the cart between indoor workshops and outdoor tarmac positions without removing tools or tilting the unit. The total height of 1360mm clears most ceiling-mounted fire suppression systems and overhead lighting in hangar support areas.
