MEIDIKE GENE Non-inactivated Type VTM Kit is a collection device used to transport nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal specimens from a person suspected of having a viral infection, such as COVID-19. The kit contains a viral transport medium (VTM) that keeps the specimen viable during transportation to a laboratory for testing. Additionally, the non-inactivated VTM kit does not contain a chemical, such as formaldehyde or beta-propiolactone, that inactivates the virus, which allows for subsequent growth and viral culture testing. The collected samples from the kit are processed and tested for the presence of the viral pathogen causing the suspected infection.

• The sampling tube is made of medical grade PP material. The unique structural design and manufacturing process of the tube cover avoid the problem of liquid leakage and high pressure resistance and high speed eccentricity resistance.

• Non-inactivated virus preservation solution does not contain lysis salt, and the preserved virus has better integrity and a higher detection rate. It retains the protein coat of the virus and the DNA or RNA of the viral nucleic acid at the same time, so that the virus has the integrity of the protein epitope and nucleic acid in vitro.

• The 30ml sampling tube is pre-installed with 12ml sample preservation solution (VTM), which is used for the detection of mixed samples of 30 people.

• The head of the sampling swab is made of the best flocking material, and after a unique process, so that the sample collection rate is high, the release rate is also high. At the same time, the breaking point of the swab rod has the characteristics of easy operation, easy breaking, and no debris during use, which greatly improves the sampling success rate and detection rate.
