This is not a regular filing cabinet.
This is a cabinet built specifically for pathology labs — designed to store paraffin-embedded tissue blocks, the specimens that need to be archived for a minimum of 15 years after diagnosis.
A lot of hospitals start out using standard metal office cabinets. The drawers are too shallow, the spacing doesn't work, and labels go missing. After a few years, the problems become obvious: wax blocks don't stand upright without tipping over, and when you have dozens of drawers, there's no way to find a specific specimen number without pulling everything out and starting over.
We built the paraffin block cabinet to solve exactly these problems.
Large-capacity drawers built for wax blocks.
Each drawer unit has internal dividers that hold wax blocks upright — they slot in vertically and stay put, no wobbling, no tipping. The front of each drawer has a transparent label slot so you can see specimen numbers at a glance without even pulling the drawer open.
Single unit height is 390mm. Two width options — 515mm and 450mm. The 515mm is the standard width for main storage areas, stacking 4 units to reach 1700mm total. The 450mm is narrower, better suited for tight spaces or against walls, and easier to configure flexibly.
Steel construction built to last 15+ years.
Pathology archives need to stay intact for over 15 years. The cabinet has to match that.
We use cold-rolled steel with a full-welded frame for structural stability. Drawer rails are smooth-glide — no sticking, no jamming even after years of daily use. Powder-coated finish handles the humidity fluctuations typical of air-conditioned labs.
Lockable versions available: each drawer has its own individual lock, ideal for hospitals, forensic labs, and any facility with specimen security requirements.
Modular stacking. Buy one unit or a full set.
Units are sold individually or as complete sets. Start with 3 units if you're setting up a new lab. Add more as your specimen volume grows — no need to replace the whole cabinet, just stack another unit on top.
Custom options available.
Drawer count, cabinet width, color, and lock type can all be customized per project. We work with hospital procurement teams, lab furniture integrators, and distributors on OEM and ODM orders.

Q: How do I choose between 515mm and 450mm?
The 515mm is the standard width — better for full sets in main storage areas, larger total capacity when stacked. The 450mm is narrower — a better fit for compact spaces, wall-mounted setups, or when you want multiple cabinets lined up with a consistent look. Both units share the same 390mm height, so you can mix and match.
Q: What's the difference between a paraffin block cabinet and a regular filing cabinet?
The drawer interior. Standard filing cabinets have flat, equal-height drawers — wax blocks won't stand upright in those. They'll tip over the moment you open the door. Our paraffin block drawers have dedicated divider slots designed for wax blocks to slot in vertically and stay secure. The transparent label slot on the drawer front is standard — not something you'll find on a regular filing cabinet.
Q: Can I buy a single unit?
Yes. We sell individual units. Start with 2-3 if your lab is new, add more as your archive grows.
Q: Is the lock one per cabinet or one per drawer?
On lockable wax block cabinets and slide drying cabinets, each drawer has its own individual lock. On slide cabinets, the entire cabinet door locks with a single lock. Let us know if you have specific requirements before ordering.
Q: What's your minimum order quantity?
Standard products have a flexible MOQ — even single unit orders are accepted. Bulk orders get tiered pricing based on quantity and customization level.
Q: What's the lead time?
Standard units are in stock. Custom orders ship within 15-25 working days from drawing confirmation. We'll give you a firm delivery date before you place the order.
Q: How is it packed for shipping?
Each unit comes in its own carton with shock-absorbing inserts. Full orders are palletized and stretch-wrapped for ocean freight. Both CIF and FOB pricing are available.
