Characteristics

1.   High Strength & Low Density (High Specific Strength): It has extremely   high specific strength (strength/density), making it an ideal material in the   aerospace field, which can effectively reduce the structural weight.

2.   Excellent Corrosion Resistance: A dense and stable oxide film (TiO₂) can be   formed on its surface, providing strong corrosion resistance against the   atmosphere, seawater, chloride ions, and various acid/alkali media. Its   corrosion resistance is far superior to that of most stainless steels.

3.   Good Biocompatibility: Titanium ions are non-toxic, non-sensitizing, and   non-carcinogenic in the human body, and have good compatibility with human   tissues. Therefore, it is one of the preferred materials for surgical   implants (such as artificial joints, bone plates, and dental implants).

4.   Good Medium-Temperature Performance: It can still maintain sufficient   strength and creep resistance in the temperature range of 300-500℃, making it suitable   for components such as compressor disks and blades of aero-engines.
