1. Gr1

Alloy Type: Industrially Pure Titanium

Main Components (by Mass): Titanium ≥ 99.5%, Iron ≤ 0.2%, Oxygen ≤ 0.18%

Core Properties: Excellent ductility, the lowest strength grade among all industrially pure titanium grades, 

strong corrosion resistance, and good weldability.

Typical Applications: Chemical equipment linings, medical devices (such as IV tubing and blood collection needles), 

food processing containers, and cryogenic storage tanks.


2. Gr2

Alloy Type: Industrially Pure Titanium

Main Components (by Mass): Titanium ≥ 99.0%, Iron ≤ 0.3%, Oxygen ≤ 0.25%

Core Properties: Slightly higher strength than Gr1, while still offering excellent ductility. Highly cost-effective, 

stable corrosion resistance, and a wider range of applications than Gr1.

Typical Applications: Heat exchangers, desalination equipment, architectural decorative panels, automotive exhaust pipes, 

and textile machinery parts.


3. Gr5 (Ti-6Al-4V)

Alloy Type: α+β titanium alloy

Main Components (by Mass): Titanium matrix, aluminum content 5.5%-6.75%, vanadium content 3.5%-4.5%

Core Performance: Optimal overall performance, with a tensile strength of approximately 900 MPa, high strength and 

fatigue resistance, while maintaining excellent corrosion resistance. It is the most widely used titanium alloy grade.

Typical Applications: Aerospace (such as fuselage frames, wing skins, engine turbine disks), medical implants 

(such as artificial joints and dental implants), high-end sports equipment (such as bicycle frames and golf clubs), 

and drone fuselages.


4. Gr7 (Ti-Pd)

Alloy Type: Commercially pure titanium (palladium-modified)

Main Components (mass fraction): Titanium ≥ 99.0%, Palladium 0.12%-0.25%, Iron ≤ 0.3%

Core Performance: Its greatest advantage is its outstanding resistance to reducing media corrosion. 

It can withstand highly corrosive environments such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, 

with significantly better corrosion resistance than Gr1 and Gr2

Typical Applications: Chemical Industry (e.g., acid-resistant reactors, electroplating tanks, acid pipelines), 

Battery Housings (e.g., lithium batteries, lead-acid batteries), Corrosion-Resistant Components for the Nuclear Industry


5. Gr9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V)

Alloy Type: α+β Titanium Alloy

Main Composition (by Mass): Titanium matrix, 2.5%-3.5% aluminum, 2.0%-3.0% vanadium

Core Properties: Excellent weldability, minimal post-weld strength loss, good ductility, 

and stable performance at low temperatures, making it suitable for welded structural parts.

Typical Applications: Aerospace (e.g., hydraulic lines, fuel lines, spacecraft docking components), 

Marine (e.g., seawater lines, propeller bushings), Petrochemical Industry (e.g., high-pressure oil pipelines)


6. Gr12 (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni)

Alloy Type: β Titanium Alloy

Main Composition (by Mass): Titanium matrix, 0.2%-0.4% molybdenum, 0.2%-0.4% nickel 0.6%-0.9%

Core Performance: Strong resistance to crevice corrosion, especially in high-temperature, 

high-salt environments, along with good plasticity and weldability.

Typical Applications: Desalination equipment (such as reverse osmosis membrane modules), offshore platform structures, 

chemical heat exchangers (for handling chloride-containing media), and papermaking equipment.
