SST-PB3-CLX-RLL HCMCO3MC-1A communication module
The SST-PB3-CLX-RLL communication module is a kind of equipment for industrial automation. The module is a chassis module that is used in conjunction with Allen-Bradley's ControlLogix system to implement the PROFIBUS communication protocol.
The main function of the SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module is to connect the ControlLogix processor to remote I/O devices on the PROFIBUS network, thereby establishing a communication link. It supports the ProFIBUS-DP master and slave protocols and can exchange data with other PROFIBUS compatible devices.
The module weighs 430 grams and can be installed directly into any available slot in the Allen-Bradley 1756 chassis. It can also be used for distributed I/O applications, providing flexible scaling and configuration options.
In addition, the SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module comes with its "Additional Configuration File" (AOP) for easy integration into the ControlLogix system using the RSLogix 5000 software. Data transfer from the SST module to the ControlLogix processor supports two modes: direct mode and paging mode. Direct mode allows mapping of PROFIBUS data in the I/O processor image, while paging mode allows access to PROFIBUS data from Settings to user-defined data Spaces in Logix CPU memory.
In general, the SST-PB3-CLX-RLL communication module is an important device used to realize the communication between Allen-Bradley ControlLogix system and PROFIBUS network, and it has a wide range of applications in the field of industrial automation.
