SB171 KJ3002X1-BF1 12P1732X042 Condensers and Heat Exchangers
SB171 refers to ASME SB-171/SB-171M-2017, which is an American standard specification for copper alloy plates and plates for pressure vessels, condensers and heat exchangers. Its chemical composition is copper-nickel alloy C71500, which is widely used in the field of high temperature, high pressure, high speed and destructive turbulence. With iron content as low as 0.5%, the C715 alloy has excellent resistance to general corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for Marine or industrial applications.
The ASME SB-171/SB-171M standard is primarily used in the manufacture and design of pressure vessels, condensers, and heat exchangers involving cop/ nickel alloy C71500. Specifically, it is widely used in the following situations:
Marine environment: Due to the excellent corrosion resistance of C71500 alloy, especially resistance to stress corrosion cracking, the standard is widely used in the field of Marine engineering. For example, heat exchangers and condensers on offshore platforms, as well as related equipment on ships, may need to be SB-171 compliant.
