The ground fault relay SPAJ 110C is designed for selective ground fault protection in solid or low resistance grounded power systems, including primary protection or backup protection.
The relay has two protection levels: low set overcurrent stage I0> and high set overcurrent stage I0>>. The low stage has a definite time characteristic or anti-time characteristic, while the high stage has only a definite time characteristic. Ground fault relays are used both as primary ground fault protection relays for feeders, transformers, generators and motors, and as backup ground fault protection relays. Relays can be configured to work with residual voltage relays used to block/unblock the operation of ground fault relays.
