AGILENT HP 5517B Combustible gas sensor/High sensitivity and accuracy
There are two main types of combustible gas sensors:
Catalytic combustion type: This sensor uses the resistance change of refractory metal platinum wire after heating to determine the concentration of combustible gas. When the combustible gas enters the detector, it causes an oxidation reaction (flameless combustion) on the surface of the platinum wire, and the heat generated increases the temperature of the platinum wire, thereby changing its resistivity. This sensor is sensitive to a wide range of flammable gases and can operate reliably for a long time in most industrial environments.
Infrared optical type: Infrared optical type combustible gas sensor through the absorption principle of infrared light source to detect hydrocarbon combustible gas in the field environment. It uses a patented "small plug-in replaceable" infrared optical sensor with long-term operational stability and minimal phased maintenance requirements.
2. Characteristics and advantages
High sensitivity and accuracy: The combustible gas sensor can accurately detect and respond to changes in the concentration of combustible gas, providing timely safety warning.
Durability: The sensor has a robust structure, electrolysically polished 316SS stainless steel structure and 100% epoxy resin encapsulated circuit, which can operate stably in harsh environments for a long time.
Intelligent: Some sensors have automatic calibration function, easy to operate, and provide intuitive reading display and menu function via backlit LCD display.
Multiple output modes: Combustible gas sensors provide a variety of output modes, such as analog signal 4~20mA DC, RS-485 data bus and relay output, easy to integrate with the system.
Easy installation and maintenance: Sensor design focuses on the concept of easy installation and maintenance, such as explosion-proof metal housing, field replaceable sensors, etc.
