25SU3-5166/5168 Ignition devices for multiple burners provide flame protection interlocking
The 25SU3-5166/5168 is a Fireye flame amplifier used in industrial combustion control systems to provide reliable ignition and flameout protection. These controllers confirm the presence of a flame to ensure a safe combustion process.
The main difference between 25SU3-5166 and 25SU3-5168 is the sensitivity characteristics of the amplifier. 25SU3-5166 has high discrimination (low sensitivity), while 25SU3-5168 has high sensitivity (low discrimination). These controllers should be used in conjunction with Fireye Type 45UV5, 45RM1, 45RM2, 45RM4, 45FS1 or 45UVFS1 flame scanners to provide repeated self-inspection of the flame protection system.
Compatible flame scanner models include:
45UV5-1000, 1010, 1101
45RM4 series
45RM1 series
45FS1
45RM2 series
45UVFS1
These controllers provide flame protection interlocking for ignition devices containing single and multiple burners. Typical applications include power generation, industrial processes, pulp and paper mills, chemical plants, electric furnaces and boilers that continuously burn natural gas, oil, pulverized coal, or a combination of these fuels.
