Technical Analysis of PTQ-PDPMV1 PROFIBUS DP V1 Master Station Module
PTQ-PDPMV1 is an industrial-grade PROFIBUS DP V1 master interface module launched by ProSoft Technology (Schneider Automation Partner), specially designed for Schneider Quantum series PLCS. The core function is to achieve high-speed data interaction between PLC and PROFIBUS DP network devices, and it is widely used in demanding industrial scenarios such as process control and intelligent manufacturing.

Communication performance
Protocol support: Compatible with PROFIBUS DP V0/V1/V2 protocols, and simultaneously supports protocol conversions such as EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP; Supports cyclic data exchange, non-cyclic communication and extended diagnostic functions (DPV1 feature), enabling remote parameter configuration and fault diagnosis of slave station devices.
Communication rate: Adaptive from 9.6 kbps to 12 Mbps, meeting the transmission requirements of different distances (low speed is suitable for long distances, and the transmission distance can reach 100 meters at 12 Mbps).
Connection capability: A single module can support up to 31 slave devices (some data indicate a maximum of 125, but it actually depends on the type of slave and the amount of data). Each Quantum rack can install up to 6 modules, and a maximum of 4 modules can be supported in a hot standby system.
Hardware configuration
Core processor: Based on Infineon C165 microprocessor and Siemens ASPC2 Step E application-specific integrated circuit, ensuring data processing efficiency and protocol compatibility.
Storage and Expansion: Supports non-volatile CF card storage of configuration files, facilitating disaster recovery and quick module replacement. The firmware can be upgraded online via Ethernet or CF card.
Interface type: Equipped with PROFIBUS DP standard DB9 interface (for connecting fieldbus), Ethernet interface (for module configuration and monitoring), and interface for communicating with the Quantum PLC backplane.
Environmental adaptability
Operating temperature: -40°C to 85°C (wide temperature design, suitable for extreme industrial environments).
Power supply parameters: 24V DC power supply (some data indicate support for 5V DC±5%, subject to the actual hardware version), power consumption approximately 1.5W.
Protection and anti-interference: Protection grade IP20, with overvoltage and overcurrent protection. It has anti-vibration (4-100Hz sine wave), anti-shock (30g/11ms) and strong electromagnetic interference capabilities, and complies with industrial-grade EMC standards.
Physical dimensions: The displayed dimensions vary among different sources. The mainstream specifications are 100mm×90mm×50mm (for the module body) or 250mm×103.85mm×40.34mm (including the interface part), with a weight of approximately 250g.
