Specific performance characteristics of PPS plastics (1) Light product weight: the specific gravity of pps plastic is generally
1.34~2.0, only 1/9~1/4 of steel and 1/2 of aluminum. This feature of pps is of special significance to mechanical equipment
requiring weight reduction, such as vehicles, ships and aircraft. (2) High strength: for materials of equal volume, the strength
of pps is generally lower than that of metals. However, because pps is much lighter than metals, when compared with other
materials of equal weight, the strength of some pps is much higher than that of ordinary metals, which is the highest strength of
existing structural materials. For example, the tensile strength per unit weight of glass fiber reinforced PPS is about 2 times
higher than that of ordinary steel. (3) Good chemical stability: pps has good corrosion resistance to general acids, alkalis and
other chemicals, which is a significant advantage. The corrosion resistance of PPS is close to that of polytetrafluoroethylene,
and it has a broad development prospect in the field of chemical anti-corrosion equipment. (4) Excellent electrical performance:
pps has excellent electrical insulation performance, minimal dielectric loss and excellent arc resistance characteristics, which
can be compared with ceramic, rubber and other insulating materials. Therefore, the application of pps in motor, electrical and
electronic industries has a very broad prospect
