Cirtex Rock Bags are a flexible, durable, rock-filled net bag providing  a versatile, environmentally friendly alternative to concrete, gabions and rock rip rap revetments, used to prevent scour and erosion in waterways and marine environments. 

Available in 1,2, 4 and 8 ton units, Rock Bags are manufactured from a highly durable, UV resistant polyester net. Filled with rocks on site and lifted into place, Rock Bags provide a fast, durable and cost effective erosion protection structure. 

Rock Bags reduce flow velocities by absorbing water energy. High interstitial spaces between the rocks also provide an enhanced habitat for invertebrates, accrete fines, gravels and silts, which allow vegetation to establish naturally over time. This allows Cirtex Rock Bags to be used independently or as part of a bioengineering design with vegetated systems above the water level, providing an effective scour and erosion control solution.
