Corn oil, also known as corn oil or corn germ oil, is a cooking oil extracted from corn germ. The fat content of corn germ ranges from 17% to 45%, accounting for over 80% of the total fat content of corn.
The characteristic of fatty acids in corn oil is that the content of unsaturated fatty acids is as high as 80% to 85%. Corn oil itself does not contain cholesterol, and it has a dissolving effect on the accumulation of cholesterol in the blood, thus reducing the hardening effect on blood vessels. It plays an active role in preventing and treating senile diseases such as arteriosclerosis and diabetes. Due to the function of natural compound vitamin E, it has significant therapeutic and preventive effects on heart disease, thrombophlebitis, reproductive dysfunction, muscular atrophy, and nutritional brain softening.
Corn oil is refined from refined corn oil through processes such as dephosphorization, deacidification, degumming, decolorization, deodorization, and dewaxing. Corn oil is clear and transparent, with a refreshing fragrance and high oil fume point, making it very suitable for quick cooking and frying of food.
