Tension clamps can be roughly divided into two categories based on their structure and installation conditions. Type 1: The tension clamp must withstand all the tensile forces of the conductor or lightning protection wire, and the clamping force of the clamp should not be less than 90% of the rated tensile force of the installed conductor or lightning protection wire, but it is not used as a conductor. This type of wire clamp can be removed and used separately after the installation of the wire. This type of clamp includes bolt type tension clamps and wedge type tension clamps. The second type: In addition to bearing all the tension of the conductor or lightning protection wire, the tension clamp also serves as a conductor. Therefore, once installed, this type of wire clamp cannot be disassembled, also known as a dead wire clamp.
