Rubber conveyor belts have characteristics such as heat resistance, wear resistance, burn resistance, oil resistance, alkali resistance, heat resistance, and cold resistance. Mainly used for solid material transportation in various mining, metallurgy, steel, coal, hydropower, building materials, chemical, grain and other enterprises.


The conveyor belt is the main component of a belt conveyor, mainly used for large-scale continuous transportation in sectors such as coal, mining, metallurgy, chemical industry, construction, and transportation. The transported materials are divided into block, powder, paste, and finished items. From a microscopic perspective, the conveyor belt is mainly composed of three parts: skeleton material, cover layer, and base material, among which the cover layer is the key part that determines its performance and use. According to the different raw materials used for the covering layer, the conveyor belt industry can be divided into two categories: heavy-duty conveyor belts and light-duty conveyor belts. The former mainly uses rubber (including natural rubber and synthetic rubber) as the main raw material, and is therefore also known as rubber conveyor belts. Its use is concentrated in the fields of heavy industry and infrastructure construction.


Ordinary conveyor belt: covering layer: tensile strength not less than 15Mpa, elongation at break not less than 350%, wear amount ≤ 200mm3; The average value of interlayer adhesion strength in longitudinal specimens shall not be less than 3.2N/mm between layers; The distance between the covering adhesive and the fabric layer shall not be less than 2.1N/mm; The longitudinal elongation at break of the full thickness shall not be less than 10%; The elongation of the full thickness longitudinal reference force shall not exceed 1.5%.

Nylon (NN) and polyester (EP) conveyor belt cover layer, with a tensile strength of not less than 15Mpa, a tensile strength at break of not less than 350%, an average interlayer adhesive strength of not less than 4.5N/mm between fabric layers, and not less than 3.2N/mm between cover adhesive and fabric layers. The longitudinal tensile elongation at break of the entire thickness is not less than 10%, and the longitudinal reference force elongation at the entire thickness is not more than 4%. The cover adhesive is made of rubber and plastic blend, with a national standard tensile strength coefficient for the skeleton, and can be overlapped into a ring shape.

Classification of conveyor belt products

All conveyor belts must be connected in a circular shape before they can be used, so the quality of the conveyor belt joints directly affects the service life of the conveyor belt and whether the conveyor line can run smoothly and smoothly. The commonly used methods for connecting conveyor belts include mechanical joints, cold bonding joints, hot vulcanization joints, etc.

Conveyor belt mechanical joint method: generally refers to the use of belt buckle joints. This joint method is convenient and economical, but the efficiency of the joint is low and it is easy to damage, which has a certain impact on the service life of the conveyor belt product. In PVC and PVG whole core flame-retardant and anti-static conveyor belt joints, this joint method is generally used for products below grade 8.

Cold bonding method for conveyor belts: using cold bonding adhesive to make joints. This joint method is more efficient and economical than mechanical joints, and should have a good joint effect. However, in practice, due to the difficulty in controlling the process conditions and the significant impact of adhesive quality on the joint, it is not very stable.

Conveyor belt hot vulcanization joint method: Practice has proven to be the most ideal joint method, which can ensure high joint efficiency, is also very stable, has a long joint life, and is easy to master. However, there are disadvantages such as complicated process, high cost, and long joint time.



1. Ordinary conveyor belt:

Cover layer: The tensile strength is not less than 15Mpa, the elongation at break is not less than 350%, the wear amount is ≤ 200mm3, the average interlayer bonding strength of the longitudinal sample is not less than 3.2N/mm, the interlayer bonding strength of the cover adhesive is not less than 2.1 N/mm, the longitudinal elongation at break is not less than 10%, and the longitudinal reference force elongation at full thickness is not more than 1.5%


2. Nylon (NN) and polyester (EP) conveyor belts:

Cover layer: The tensile strength shall not be less than 15Mpa, the elongation at break shall not be less than 350%, the wear amount shall not be less than 200mm3, the average interlayer bonding strength of the longitudinal sample shall not be less than 4.5N/mm, the interlayer bonding strength shall not be less than 3.2 N/mm, the longitudinal elongation at break of the full thickness shall not be less than 10%, and the longitudinal reference force elongation at full thickness shall not be greater than 4%. Specifically, it is divided into EP100, EP150, EP200, EP250, EP300, EP350, EP400, etc; It can also be nylon canvas (NN), which can be divided into NN100, NN150, NN200, NN250, NN300, NN350, NN400, NN450, NN500 types, etc.
